Local girl Jade became an internet sensation with more than 2 million views on Youtube after she was filmed singing with a busker in Leeds. 

Jade is a singer-songwriter from West Yorkshire.  Her style is a notably British blend of pop and country, though influenced by the likes of Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton, as well as more contemporary artists such as Taylor Swift, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini. 

A passionate songwriter, Jade has a reputation for crafting her lyrics based on her observations, with a running commentary on life, love and friendships

Leeds based Artist / Musician & Radio Host, SilverFinger Singh presents the Monday Night MixTape on BBC Radio Leeds.

He released his debut album, Education Road EP, and has shared the stage with artists including Ian Brown (The Stone Roses), The Sugarhill Gang, Panjabi MC and Celt Islam.

He performed alongside his father Inder GoldFinger and Oova Matique to deliver an interesting fusion of sounds and poetry.

A tribal dance troupe named after an Egyptian goddess. Hathor dance troupe perform at many events across West Yorkshire for Community and Charity organisations, private parties and corporate functions. 

Ann Wear is a Founder member of the group and runs belly dance classes in Huddersfield.

BCM Stars

One of a number of enthusiastic and highly competitive majorette companies in the Dewsbury area showing off their skills in the Market Place.

Three amazing stilt walkers from the Pastiche troupe added real spectacle and a dash of magic to our procession parading along with hundreds of young local students!

Percussion Santas

A Dewsbury based group of 20 percussionists (drummers) who study Brazilian percussion rhythms with Claudio Kron. 

The group meets every Tuesday night at Elim Church in Dewsbury Town Centre to play and learn about cultures and and history of rhythms such as Samba, Samba Reggae, Funk, Ijexa traditional Afro Brazilian music

Foxwood Steel

Foxwood Steel was founded in the mid 1980s when leader, Victoria, was teaching at Foxwood School. Now the band consists of ex-students and teachers and friends not just from Foxwood, but from all round Leeds.
Foxwood is a traditional high quality steel band playing everything from classical to calypso, from reggae to pop!

Sully Khan is a young British Pakistani who brings the sounds of Asia to the streets of the United Kingdom.  Based in Dewsbury, Sully Khan is a musician with a passion.

He and his group brought the colours and sounds of his culture to the streets of Dewsbury as part of our wonderful Christmas celebration.

Sadie Flower Dance Academy

A local dance troop from Batley choreographed by the award winning Sadie Flower who teachers various styles of dance. 

The group appeared on the main stage and in the surrounding streets showing off with three dance styles.

And All Our Lovely Children for the finale on the Town Hall steps

Schoolchildren from seven schools had taken part in creative workshops to make their own lanterns, big and small, for the parade along Crackenedge Lane and back down Foundry Street to Market Place and ending on the Town Hall steps where they gave us 20 minutes of their favourite songs.

Craft Market

The Craft Market took place throughout the afternoon with more than 20 stalls by local crafters organised by the Dewsbury Creative Craft Centre.
