Crow Nest Park Cafe To Re-Open

A new owner has taken over the lease of Crow Nest Park Cafe after months of uncertainty. The new proprietor, Navid Akhtar, now has big plans for his establishment, which is open from 8am-6pm in winter and from 8am-8pm during the summer.

He hopes to make the cafe more attractive to Dewsbury’s diverse community by selling both English and Asian breakfast options, together with a new range of cakes by Maughans for those of us who just want a ‘cuppa and a bun’

“The first thing we did was to introduce a decent cup of coffee! But we’ve got lots of ideas for the future,” said Navid.

The menu will also feature ‘back to school’ puddings, samosas, kebabs and delicacies to suit seasonal events such as toffee apples for Halloween and Bonfire Night.

The premises as well as the menu are also in for a makeover with a full refurbishment planned that will re-arrange the interior to get rid of the congestion and make it more family friendly as well as opening out another room for use by community groups.
