Printed exactly 40 years ago in 1975 after re-organisation. The inside cover of the ‘Kirklees Street Directory’, strange what Kirklees say about Dewsbury………you would not think so today. All the shops are purely names from the past, Anne’s Pantry, Jessop’s Tailors, Jim Browns, Dunne’s etc. they were proper shops !!!!
